We believe in 'Humanity over Vanity' - meaning we put your pet's well-being above all else!
Does your pup really need a groom but transport is an issue? Fret not!
Eden Pet Salon is partnering with Vee's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting to offer two-way transport for your pup! Vee's Pet Taxi service is available within the Hills and Blacktown council :)
We've chosen to partner with Vee's because they have been a highly trusted pet sitting and dog walking local business serving the Hills/Blacktown district for the past 3 years. They truly put the pets and paw-rents first when it comes to their services. Take a look at their Facebook Page (Click here) to see their reviews!
From a warm bath to full breed styling, we offer a range of services to meet you and your pup's needs!
Does your fur-baby:
At Eden Pet Salon, our set up allows us to cater to dogs with special or high needs. Young or old, all pets are welcome. We believe that with the right approach, all dogs are capable of recovering from past trauma and can learn to trust the grooming process once again.
We kindly ask that you book an appointment via our online website or via text at our company’s number 0416 215 590. As the operation is run by Clarabelle, she is unable to pick up calls while grooming to ensure that her full attention is on the pet.
Whenever we reserve a time slot for a client, that time slot is no longer able to be booked by any other clients. When there are no-shows, it significantly hurts the business as no revenue can be gained during that pre-booked slot. A No Show/Late Cancellation fee only covers the cost of operating the business during those hours.
We open from Tuesday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm. We do not accept walk-ins and only run by appointments. If you would like an appointment outside these hours, please contact us at bookings@edenpetsalon.com
In addition to real salon experience, our groomer, Clarabelle, has gone through Dog Diversity Dog Grooming School’s intensive dog grooming course. Dog Diversity is Melbourne’s premier dog grooming school that sets high industry standards for the dog grooming industry. Clarabelle is also set to complete Heiniger Academy’s Cert III In Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) by July 2024!
Nope! We are a one-on-one dog grooming service in which your pup will be in the groomer’s safe hands from drop off to pick up. This is a great grooming experience for all dogs, especially dogs who do not cope well with busy salons. Some dogs struggle with anxiety when kept in a holding crate or pen while waiting their turn to be groomed. Other dogs are reactive to other dogs and Eden Pet Salon is a good solution for them!
Our groomer, Clarabelle, will work with you to create a plan that will hopefully help your dog learn to accept and maybe even enjoy the grooming process. Sometimes, the plan involves first allowing Clarabelle and your pup to establish a trusting relationship with each other before slowly introducing the various aspects of grooming. It is not an easy process, but it has been done before where a dog under Clarabelle’s care has successfully accepted the grooming process! Please contact us directly at bookings@edenpetsalon.com or via SMS if you have a special case. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
I learnt this from the beautiful trainers at Dog Diversity Dog Grooming School in Seddon, Victoria.
Humanity Over Vanity fundamentally prioritises the well-being and compassion for your pup above profit or good-looks. This means that we judge ourselves based on what the dog thinks of the grooming process - Was it stressful? Was it painful? Do I feel better after the groom? Is my coat and fur in a better condition?
One example of Humanity Over Vanity in action is how Eden Pet Salon refuses to demat a matted coat via brushing or a matt-breaker. Some knots/mats are so tight that while brushing it out is certainly possible and the pup may end up with longer fur all over their body, it is an extremely stressful and painful process. Not only that, it damages the coat and makes the coat more prone to matting again. It is far more humane to clip out or scissor out the matting, and allow the skin and coat to heal and regrow.
Our groomer Clarabelle has worked in salons that offer hand stripping and is receiving continuous education to hand strip Schnauzers, Terriers, Spaniels and Setters. As she is relatively new to hand stripping, Clarabelle only uses chalk and pumice stones to hand strip dogs - she does not use stripping knives.
Not every dog breed or coat is suitable for hand stripping, and a coat pre-assessment will be made upon check in to assess if your pup’s coat is ready to be stripped. If the coat is not ready to be stripped, an alternative service like a Bath & Tidy will be offered and a future appointment set for Hand Stripping.
Kindly refrain from bathing your pup from at least 1 week before the hand stripping appointment. During the appointment, Clarabelle will continually assess your pup’s comfort and ability to tolerate a hand stripping session (Note: a dog with a coat that is ready to be stripped will NOT experience any pain. Rather, it is their ability to remain standing or tolerate a long hand-stripping session that is being assessed). Depending on your pup’s tolerance, the hand stripping session may be split into two sessions. After hand stripping, another Bath & Dry appointment will be made 1 week after to give their hair follicles a chance to rest.
